Front Yard Transformation
After removing the old cedar stumps and sod, we transplanted some of the existing plants to the backyard. We used perennials and small shrubs that thrive in partial sun and designed the area to accommodate snow buildup from the walkways and road during winter.
Once the plants reach their full size, there will be minimal open space left, which will help reduce the need for weeding.
Recreation Centre Maintenance
Without enough mulch and regular seasonal care, a simple garden bed can quickly become overgrown during the summer.
We loved restoring this flowerbed to a healthy state and making it an eye-catching feature for the community once again.
Juniper Pruning
Just a little hair cut for this one to accentuate the intricate branches of this mature juniper. We also did some edging to keep the lawn out of the bed, and give it a cleaner look.
Flowerbed Wedding & Light Paver Stone Relay
We brought this garden bed back to its natural curves by edging the pavers and relaying some of the stones. We also weeded the river rock area and did light pruning to remove dead and damaged branches.
Fire Department Flowerbed Pruning and Mulching
This garden bed featured a mature juniper that had sustained some damage from snow buildup over the years. After removing the damaged branches, giving it a bit of shaping, and adding mulch, it was ready for the coming winter.
Pruning to increase light penetration into the foliage will encourage new growth and improve air circulation, helping the trunk and branches shed moisture and reducing the risk of rot.
Township Flowerbed Fall Prep & Redesign
After many years of the same garden design and green foliage, the township was ready for a fresh look.
We prepared these beds for spring 2025 planting and added a beautiful border of mixed tulip bulbs for early spring blooms. We're excited to redesign these beds with a vibrant mix of new colors.
Weeding, Pruning & Thinning
This new homeowner was feeling a bit overwhelmed by the state of their garden, which had quickly been overtaken by mint, native trees, and grasses. They asked for help restoring it to a more manageable and maintainable space.
Winter Protection for Some Newly Planted Yews
Yews generally tolerate our cold winters well, but they can sometimes suffer winter burn from harsh winds. To protect these beautiful yews, we covered them in burlap to give them the best possible chance during their first winter.
